Lucky Charm

Like most anglers, we have jerseys made each year to represent the sponsors that support us for the upcoming tournament trails. I’m no different and had the ones pictured here designed for the 2016 season. However, I made the mistake of ordering the wrong size and was forced to wear my partner’s jersey during this tournament season. If you look closely, you can see the name on the right chest says “Mark”.

That said I’m not sure if it was a coincidence, but the fish you see here (we believe) is the exact same fish that my fishing partner Mark caught on Friday. I don’t know if it was a fluke, luck, fate, destiny or something I just can’t explain, but I think that jersey game me a little luck this past weekend.

In fishing a lot of anglers have their own items that bring them luck (photos, toys, quotes, etc.) and I think I’ve found mine. So, if you see me walking around and notice that I have the wrong name on my jersey, don’t be alarmed... It is my lucky charm for the man that taught me all I know about fishing... My father Mark Forrest.
